Meet the Chef!
has always been a dream of mine to cook for a living. I have
been cooking my entire life.
This dream however, was realized by sheer necessity a few years back. My life-long obsession turned into my career and I love it!
I am well versed in many styles of cooking from the
traditional to the exotic. I still love learning about
different ingredients and techniques.
I am a member of the United States Personal Chef Association USPCA.com. I currently participate in various training and studies to further my skills as a Personal Chef. Because my work is also my greatest joy, I am constantly researching and looking at new food trends and ingredients. I have won several awards for my baked goods, jams and jellies as well as participated in local food contests.
Who needs a personal chef?
A weeks worth of meals for a busy family. Ready to heat and eat!
How does it work?
First step is filling out a detailed assessment of your food preferences, allergy issues and your dietary goals. Typically, this first visit is done at your home so I can get an idea of your kitchen space and what I need to bring with me on our first cook day.
The next step is to determine how many meals you would like to have prepared and how often. I typically cook once a week in the client’s home, making enough meals to last into the next week. This is also the time we determine my fee schedule as well as entry into your home etc.
I design a preliminary menu based on your assessment and offer it for your approval prior to our first cook day. Once approved, my first service is set in motion.
Before coming to your home, I shop for your grocery items at your preferred market or store. I want to make sure everything is as fresh as possible. I carry with me standard pantry items such as seasonings and oils, if you have yours in your home, I am happy to use those.
I start cooking in your home at our agreed upon time frame. I typically take between 3 – 6 hours depending on how many meals I am preparing and how labor intensive the recipes are. The finished meals are packaged in your containers or mine and then labeled and placed in your refrigerator or freezer.
I clean up your kitchen, pack up my equipment and leave. You come home to freshly prepared scratch made meals ready for you to heat and enjoy!
